I’ve always known the mind to be important, but the more professional rugby I’ve played the more I’ve realised that it is the essential component that determines if we meet our potential. The good thing is, our mind can be trained and changed. To be foundation provide the tools that can help you take control of your mind and overcome mental barriers

My daughter and her school volleyball team were lucky enough to work with Neurofit and Rico up to and during their busy Summer season of Canterbury and South Island Champs and School Nationals. The players are committed and competitive with girls from three senior year groups. Winning Canterburys, South Islands and 3rd in Nationals is no mean feat in the game of Volleyball that has gained 35% more players in the last couple of years alone. There is no doubt in my mind that Rico's work was one of the fundamental reasons that they did so well this February-April. His calm and insightful manner meant that each player took something away from each of their sessions. They are all very different people, some quiet and some not so much. I heard from my daughter that they all felt they benefited from the programme and were quite honest and vocal about this with each other. So much of the joy of playing sports as teens at higher levels can be lost because of the noise of pressure and expectation that surrounds younger players. I feel strongly that we spend a lot of time making them physically match fit but maybe not mind fit. Neurofit and Rico helped the girls with this and I will always be eternally grateful. We have a duty as as parents and supporters when we enjoy the fruits of their labour court or field side to give them the tools to keep the passion and fun alive and lets be clear here their mental health

Firstly, I would highly recommend the NeuroFit program to anyone who wants to better themselves.
For me, I was really interested in ways to make myself a better athlete and person. After hearing some of the feedback from the like of Ethan Blackadder and Jack Goodhue, it seemed like the perfect thing to delve into. I thoroughly enjoyed the process of learning more about myself. This program gave me a much greater understanding of self and what my triggers were. This program really helps you to understand the *why’ which helped me explore areas of my life I hadn’t explored
before. It gave me greater confidence to just be me! To top it all off, Rico is an awesome lad who genuinely wanted to get to know me and build a relationship of trust

The To Be Foundation was established in 2022 with a vision of enabling young people to become who they want to be by providing a platform that clears the mental mess and leads to long-term brain change. At its most basic, NeuroFit provides a set of tools that support young people to overcome barriers to their mental health & well-being. Two key features of this programme are that participants see these changes take place in a relatively short space of time and with outcomes that last for life. By providing the necessary tools, NeuroFit’s cornerstone desire is for young people to have an enhanced sense of identity & self, build their resilience, and develop a growth mindset that will allow them to become exactly who they want to be.

You can’t put a price on your mental health.
The To Be Foundation exists to fund a majority of the course cost for our youth participants.
This group course costs approximately $700 per person.
Depending on the structure of the course, we ask that all participants contribute between $50-$100*.
We believe it is vital all participants are invested in attending this course, so they put in the work to get the outcomes we know they can achieve.
*if there is a genuine reason why an attendee can’t pay this contribution, then we have options to link them up with a supporter.
